About the Role
We are seeking A motivated individual with a blend of solution sales experience coupled with sufficient technical knowledge of the cybersecurity marketplace
At least 3 years of relevant cybersecurity sales experience
A team member able to join a dynamic and fast-moving new company and contribute immediately to its growth and success
A proven track record of success in selling similar consulting and/or managed services, preferably in the IT and cybersecurity space.
A proven track record of developing new markets, finding new customers, and growing existing clients; ideally, you also bring a personal network of potential clients, partners, and future employees!
Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for sales and business development activities, including working closely with our outsourced lead generation partner to turn prospects into customers. We need a motivated, cyber-savvy seller capable of active client acquisition and selling. You will be measured on revenue and aggressively awarded on results.
Ideally, you possess the following experience and credentials:
Working technical knowledge of the cybersecurity market
Ability to make customer presentations about our portfolio and actively shape the conversation around their needs.
You are a highly motivated self-starter, capable of building strong relationships, excellent leadership, prospecting and negotiating skills, and the ability to close business.
As we are still a small but growing company, you will initially be managing our freelance sales force while actively contributing directly to the sales goals. As results allow, you will play a critical role in hiring and building a larger dedicated sales and sales operations team.
In a world of remote work, we are quite flexible about location for the right candidate across the US and Canada. Travel is generally infrequent, though may be required as our market and client prospects dictate.
The candidate will be compensated in accordance with experience.
Compensation will include a base salary with aggressive commissions based on personal sales as well as a management commission on the overall results of the sales function. We are also open to discussing share ownership as we approach our IPO this winter.
